Using the same Polaris C interface we know and love, we have expanded every handheld to have a data logging function, charging port (no more AA batteries!), easy calibration, and compact design extended to all models- including our new Polaris C CO2 Handheld- a groundbreaking update to our older CO2 box model.
Polaris C DO
The Polaris C DO meter is a high-performance, low-cost and almost maintenance-free meter for measuring dissolved oxygen and temperature. The meter is sturdy, easy to use and has an extensive longevity making it ideal for harsh conditions.
Polaris C DO can store up to 2500 complete data sets, including time and date stamps. The logged data is stored in the meter or can be transferred to Cobália using Bluetooth. Scan the Cobália NFC tag of the tank and all data will be uploaded to your “digital farm”. Tank specific data assigned to the tags will be stored in Cobália for analyses on temporal variations, multivariable analyses on performance and for the generation of graphs. The meter has a built-in self-check of all hardware, automatic barometric pressure compensation and a notably short response time.
Polaris C LDO
The Polaris C LDO Optical meter is an almost maintenance free meter for measuring dissolved oxygen and temperature. The meter is sturdy, easy to use and has an extensive longevity making it ideal for harsh conditions.
Polaris C LDO can store up to 2500 complete set of data, including time and date stamps. The logged data can be stored either manually or automatically with the possibility to group the data into categories. The stored data can be uploaded directly to Cobália using Bluetooth technology. Scan the Cobália NFC tag on the tank and all data will be uploaded to your “digital farm”. Tank specific data assigned to the tags will be stored in Cobália for analysis on temporal variation, generation of graphs and for multivariable analysis on performance.
The meter has a built-in self-check of all hardware, it compensates automatically for barometric pressure and it has a notably short response time. With this meter, you get the high-quality associated with OxyGuard technology and a product that will serve you well for many years.
Polaris C TGP
The OxyGuard Polaris C TGP (Total Gas Pressure) is a hand-held gas pressure meter. It can operate in three modes, one where it acts as a standard Handy Polaris dissolved oxygen (DO) meter, one where it is a total gas pressure meter that shows pressures as percent saturation values and one where it is a total gas pressure meter that shows pressures as volume percentages.
The user can choose which value is shown in large figures in the display. This can, for example, be the percent saturation value for gases other than oxygen. The instrument incorporates a data logger. Messages on the display, and menu functions, make the Polaris C TGP easy to use.
Polaris C CO2
The OxyGuard Polaris C CO2 Portable is a reliable and easy to use instrument that measures the free dissolved carbon dioxide concentration directly in the water. The CO2 concentration is shown on the display, and there is an analogue output.
The OxyGuard Polaris C CO2 measures the free dissolved CO2 directly and is not affected by carbonates or other dissolved substances. It is the free dissolved CO2 – in other words the CO2 gas partial pressure – that affects the fish. The OxyGuard Polaris C CO2 thus gives simple, continuous and direct measurements of the amount of carbon dioxide in the water that will affect the fish. The analyzer is easy to calibrate using the front panel “slope” and “zero” adjustments – after which you just put the probe in the water and measure. There is a salinity adjustment. Calibration intervals are long, and the OxyGuard CO2 does NOT need regular maintenance.
Polaris C pH
The Polaris C pH is a hand-held, pocket-size pH hand-held meter designed for use in demanding, wet environments. The meter itself and the electrode assembly are waterproof. This instrument does not suffer from the classical problems associated with pH meters – the Polaris C pH is sealed so that water cannot enter the top of the electrode or the electronics. You can drop it into the water without damaging it. In the Polaris C pH these advantages are combined with microprocessor technology to provide an instrument that is exceptionally easy to use.
Measuring Range: -1 to 15 pH
Polaris C Salinity
The Polaris C Salinity is a hand-held instrument specially designed for aquaculture use. Factory calibration and automatic temperature compensation make it very easy to use. The display shows the salinity directly. Temperature is also measured and shown in the display.
The instrument incorporates automatic check functions to ensure reliability. The probe is designed to be as trouble-free as possible, with features specially suited for aquaculture use. Inductive technology is used so that you don’t have to worry about deposits on the surface of the probe – all you have to do is ensure that the hole in the probe is open and relatively clean.
Polaris C MaxiTemp
The OxyGuard Polaris C MaxiTemp is a small electronic thermometer specially designed to meet the demands of fish farmers and other professional people for a rugged, reliable and accurate thermometer with data logging function. It has a measuring range of -5 to +45°C with an accuracy of +/- 0.1°, and will measure up to +60°C with an accuracy of +/- 0.2°C. The probe is manufactured in plastic and sea-water resistant stainless steel, and is connected to the display with a 1.5 m cable. Both probe and display are sealed and waterproof.
Values can be stored either automatically at preset time intervals, or manually. You can group values according to the place of measurement. Stored values can be transferred to a PC using the Polaris Link, which connects to the PC via a USB cable.
Polaris C Redox
The OxyGuard Polaris C Redox is a hand-held, pocket-size pH meter designed for use in demanding, wet environments for heavy-duty use. The meter itself and the electrode assembly are waterproof. This instrument does not suffer from the classical problems associated with pH/Redox meters – this Redox meter is sealed so that water cannot enter the top of the electrode or the electronics. You can drop it into the water without damaging it. In the Polaris C Redox these advantages are combined with microprocessor technology to provide an instrument that is exceptionally easy to use.

Polaris C Atmosphere
The Polaris C Atmosphere is a hand-held meter designed to measure oxygen in gas. It can be used to measure the low oxygen content of packaging gas, the oxygen content of the air and the purity of oxygen gas from oxygen generators and the like.
Other Handheld & Mobile models
OxyGuard hand-held oxygen meters have proved their worth all over the world since 1989.
Before then, hand-held meters were expensive, fragile, slow and could not withstand getting wet. All OxyGuard D.O. meters are waterproof, show D.O. in both % sat and mg/l (ppm), have automatic temperature compensation and are always be ready to measure. More advanced types have automatic calibration and pressure compensation as well as salinity compensation and data logging or data recording functions. Handy Membrane Kit
Our Handy Membrane Kit is an additional kit for the self-maintenance tools provided in the pouch included with your Handy purchase. It contains replacement membranes, O-rings, a cleaning pad, as well as replacement electrolyte. There are service kits available in our store for all of our Handy meters, the options are provided within the drop-down menu.
